A survey of costume design that explores the idea of Identity. As we examine our attempts to reinvent ourselves and reinterpret our history through the art of costume design in film, we will study how we have been creating icons and mythology through the art of film making in the context of our modern consciousness. This class will be watching some R-rated films-they may contain some adult material (hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually oriented nudity, drug abuse or other elements).
