In the first semester, students will learn the basic tools of video production for dance including: performance documentation, adapting choreography for the camera, and the application of nonfiction filmmaking techniques to documentation of the choreographic process. The second semester is devoted to creating hybrid experimental dance films.  Lectures will cover the role of dance in narrative features and commercial film, and integrated technologies being utilized with dance – such as “Isadora.”
