This course is an introduction to journalism in which students will learn the fundamentals of reporting and writing news stories. We will focus on the skills that form the basis for all types of journalism, whether newspaper-, magazine-, broadcast- or Web-based. We will discuss style and proofreading, and broader issues such as ethics, the impact of the media and libel.
