Contemporary Performance / Fall 2016 (CRN 44576)

Topic for FA16 IMMERSIVE THEATER
This class delves into the techniques and ideals behind Immersive Theater practitioners and theater companies. The course will explore this topic through both design and performance examining aesthetic theory of an emerging immersive culture. We will explore the use of locative stories and GPS related gameplay in building the immersive alternate realities of this genre of performance.
